Oh Happy Day

oh-happy-days1It’s really happening.

We are expecting a lot out of President Obama. Hope he’s got some elbow grease because we’re leaving him a very messy world. And he’s absolutely right that we all pitch in to help.

Here are a few thoughts from Robert Fulghum:

All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten: a Guide for Global Leadership.

(I know we’ve all seen it but sometimes we need to be reminded.)

Today is a new day. So get out your party dress. It’s time to celebrate. Especially because today is also my father’s birthday. It’s nice to see the nation throw him a wham bam of a party every four years. He deserves it.

    Nina,

As a foreigner who wants good things to happen in any and all parts of the world, I wish Americans will work more in harmony with their president.

Colin Powell said something this a.m.: if you’re an african american kid that’s a matter for your therapist, the real question will be do you produce? If not you’re out. It’s a generational change.
